Disability Equality Services

DP Consulting (Disability Equality Services) Ltd offers a wide range of disability equality services. Whilst each of the services we provide is unique, it should be noted that we are also in a position to tailor a programme to suit the individual needs of the client

The services offered by DP Consulting are as follows:

1)    Access Auditing - We examine all the barriers that disabled people face for them to be included and feel able to use a particular service. An NRAC-accredited access auditor will provide a full written report after completing a “walk and talk” access audit.

2)    Mystery Shopping - A disabled “mystery shopper” tests service provisions, company policy and procedures, and all barriers to inclusion. Feedback is then given at senior management level together with consultation aimed at the removal of said barriers.

3)    DDA/ Access Consultancy - Advice on legal issues relating to all aspects of the Disability Discrimination Act and other relevant forms of legislation.

4)    Disability Equality Training - Training to promote the inclusion and empowerment of disabled people using the Social Model of Disability. This can be delivered to frontline staff or to in-house company trainers in “train-the-trainer” format.

5)    Diversity and Equality Training - Training to raise awareness of equality/ diversity issues based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, culture, religion and age.

6)    Speaking at Corporate Events - Danny Puresh, Director of DP Consulting and Senior Disability Equality Consultant, is available to speak at corporate events about disability access issues.

7)    Research into Disability Issues - We conduct specific research into disability issues and prepare a detailed report of our findings.

8)    Advice on Accessibility and Inclusive Design – Expert advice on accessibility and inclusive design for new services.
