Disability Equality Services

DP Consulting (Disability Equality Services) Ltd offers a wide range of disability equality services. Whilst each of the services we provide is unique, it should be noted that we are also in a position to tailor a programme to suit the individual needs of the client

The services offered by DP Consulting are as follows:

1)    Access Auditing - We examine all the barriers that disabled people face for them to be included and feel able to use a particular service. An NRAC-accredited access auditor will provide a full written report after completing a “walk and talk” access audit. For more information about this service please click here

2)    Mystery Shopping - A disabled “mystery shopper” tests service provisions, company policy and procedures, and all barriers to inclusion. Feedback is then given at senior management level together with consultation aimed at the removal of said barriers. For more information please click here

3)    DDA/ Access Consultancy - Advice on legal issues relating to all aspects of the Disability Discrimination Act and other relevant forms of legislation.

4)    Fire Safety for Disabled People - a comprehensive examination of fire safety procedures including developing Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs) for disabled people, according to legal and other guidelines. For more information about this service please click here

5)    Disability Equality Training - Training to promote the inclusion and empowerment of disabled people using the Social Model of Disability. This can be delivered to frontline staff or to in-house company trainers in “train-the-trainer” format.

6)    Diversity and Equality Training - Training to raise awareness of equality/ diversity issues based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, culture, religion and age. For more information please click here

8)    Research into Disability Issues - We conduct specific research into disability issues and prepare a detailed report of our findings. For more information about this service please click here

9)    Advice on Accessibility and Inclusive Design – Expert advice on accessibility and inclusive design for new services.

10) Access Auditor Training – Our Access Auditors Training courses are designed to provides participants with a strong foundation for understanding effective access audits.
